COFFEE & CREATIVITY have a long intertwined history.

This blend of art, ideas, and coffee seemed to be missing in the cafés where Marie has worked and visited.

Inspired by her husband, Zakk's passion for art and his perseverance in the creative industry, the idea was born;

to create a location that married coffee and art together.

MARIE

FOUNDER

Marie's love for coffee started with her first cup at 17 years old. She got hired as the opening barista for a local coffee shop named Java Express. A few months later, Marie was asked to join the team at another local cafe, Marshill, where she learned the important role that a cafe can have in a community.

"Being able to work at both cafes at the same time provided me with knowledge and passion for the coffee industry. Little did I know that that time in my life was going to be the foundation of what I'm building now with Tribe Cafe and Atelier. We are still in the beginning stages, but with each step, I can see my dream for Tribe getting clearer."

ZAKK

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Zakk is an artist from California, and has traveled though many mediums. Painting, music, photography, to sculpting and fashion design. With his art he values timeless beauty, natural materials, and traditional techniques fused with modern design. With Tribe he hopes to curate a space to discover inspiration, realize potential, and find success and support.

CAFÉ

We strive to make exceptional coffee more accessible to consumers in a time where large coffee chains are more focused on quantity over quality. Always thinking about what we can do for the customer, we source from places we know provide specialty coffee beans that stand out from the masses. We do extensive research and training to create perfectly brewed and balanced drinks to provide you with the freshest, best coffee in your own neighborhood.

Coffee is known to improve focus, performance, and memory, making people work more efficiently. This improvement of productivity was just the reason the “coffee break” was first instituted in the US. Similarly we strive to create a place targeted toward artists and creatives to take a break, regain focus, and get back to doing what they love at full capacity in the most convenient way.

ATELIER

Coming Soon! We are aiming to have a permanent location by 2025! This location will become a space for creatives to develop their talents, flourish creatively, meet other artists, and even just hang out. We will provide the ideal space with our studio focusing more on creativity and experimentation leading to artistic growth. We will have knowledgeable staff to be able to help artists with any questions or advice and we will provide equipment available for all skill levels. With all this we strive to have an inspiring and welcoming environment.
